AUSSIE SKATE COMPETITION - MONDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER, 2011
MISC need volunteers who are willing to help at the Aussie Skate Competition - especially if you or a family member is competing. We need your help to run these competitions. Some tasks need to be done by adults but there are also jobs that younger skaters are able to do, particularly if they want to earn stars for State and National rebates in 2011. NB – your entry will be paid for by the Club if are working at the competition. You will need to give your name to the office as you enter and have it marked off the club list.
Set-up / pull-down
2 adults are required to help set up for competition. ie help carry out tables for the judges to sit at. Need to be at the rink by 4.30pm.
2 adults also required to help pack away at the end of the competition. Please respond via the link below to Katherine Jolley.
Gate Wardens:
2 helpers 12 yrs and over, for each of the hours 5:15-6:30pm & 6:30-7:30pm. Gate Wardens –stand at the gate by the ice rink, checking that the competitors
on the list are at the gate ready to skate when it is their turn. Please respond via the link below to Katherine Jolley.
Clothing Stall Helper:
1 person 14 yrs and over to help at the clothing stall. Please respond via the 'Clothing Stall Volunteers' link below to Therese Pearce.
Canteen Helpers / Server of Food to Judging Table:
2 people over 14 yrs and over to assist at the canteen, or serving the judging table, for each hour 5.00-6:15pm & 6:00-7:15pm. 3 volunteers 14 yrs and over also required to bring a plate of cakes/slices to sell. Please bring these to Canteen. 1-2 people 16 yrs and over to assist as soup makers in the canteen. Please respond via the link below.
Registration Desk Assistant / Judging Assistant:
One person 14 years and over to assist the Registration Officer.
One person 16 yrs or over to collect judging sheets etc from the judges.
Trophy Table:
Two people 10 years and over to assist with setting up the trophy table and separating certificates.
